I’ve just been approved by the powers-that-be to teach a course this spring, and it feels amazing to be planning a syllabus again, ordering textbooks, drafting assignments, all that stuff. It’s been three and a half years since I’ve been able to teach, and I miss it desperately.
I’ll be teaching a GenEd writing course specifically for our Adult Degree Program students, which is a fantastic opportunity to bring together my two academic backgrounds. I’ll have to be a little less wacky than I used to, since it’s a completely different audience than the 18 year olds I used to work with, but these adults will also take it much more seriously.
