At the Market

It was quiet at the market this week – not sure whether it was because of the rain or because the season was ending, but there were fewer stalls than normal and fewer shoppers. 

We bought Yukon Gold potatoes, sweet potatoes, heirloom tomatoes, goat cheese, some gorgeous broccoli, Hungarian wax peppers, and basil. Then we went to the Amish market and bought my favorite pasta, black-eyed peas, cheddar cheese with horseradish, dried goji berries, wild blueberry oatmeal, local boneless skinless chicken thighs, and bulk sausage.

Yumyumyum. I’m planning a lasagna with fresh pasta and sausage, chicken cacciatore, red curry with broccoli, peppers and sweet potatoes, and pasta with roasted tomatoes, ricotta, and basil. Yumyumyum.
