Weekend in DC

We spent this weekend visiting friends in DC – E and Shane have just moved into an absolutely adorable new place right off the Potomac, and we met up with Andy and Claire.  Heaven knows how we all ended up in the same area, but I’m grateful we did.

We visited the Botanical Gardens, the Jim Henson exhibit, and Mount Vernon, and when I uploaded the photos I took, I noticed two themes.

Flowers:

These smelled incredible, by the way.

Who knew?  Seriously, 90% of the photos I took this weekend were of flowers and birds.  It was an absolutely fantastic weekend.
